Do you see the resemblance?
Both men promise they’ll clean up a mess. However, the one on the right wants to do it in Washington as the next U.S. Senator from Alaska.
Joe Miller, a little-known lawyer from Fairbanks, was plucked from obscurity by Sarah Palin’s endorsement. He then surprised the Republican establishment by beating two-term Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski in a tight primary.
Besides having an uncanny resemblance to the Brawny Man, Miller, 43, is a father of eight and a graduate of West Point and Yale Law School. He also earned a Bronze star fighting in the first Gulf War.
When John King asked Miller about comparisons to the Brawny Man, Miller didn't object: "I'm an outdoor activist. I like to hunt, like to fish. The description of the plaid shirt, that's Joe Miller. I'm in a suit today but I'm on camera. But I'm an everyday American, a working class guy that's just trying to turn this nation around."
We’ll have to wait and see how well Miller absorbs political attacks.
