ALSEK RIVER SET GILLNET CHINOOK SALMON TEST FISHERY

Yakutat….The Alaska Department of Fish and Game is soliciting bids for a set gillnet test fishery for
Chinook salmon on the Alsek River.

This test fishery will be used to evaluate the run strength and timing of Chinook salmon returns to theAlsek River. Successful bidders will be responsible for their own supplies including food, fuel, and net.

Any fish harvested will become property of the State.
Bids should be based on a percentage of the total value of the catch. A maximum of 500 Chinook salmon may be harvested during the duration of this fishery. Bids must be received at the Fish and Game office in Yakutat prior to 12:00 noon, Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
