SOUTHEAST ALASKA GEODUCK CLAM FISHERY ANNOUNCEMENT

Ketchikan. . . The Alaska Department of Fish and Game announced today the following information
regarding the Southeast Alaska commercial geoduck clam fishery.

All areas failed paralytic shellfish poison testing this week. Therefore there will be no Southeast
Alaska geoduck clam fishery in Statistical Week 11 (March 11-17).

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation paralytic shellfish poison test results were:
Percy Islands (Subdistrict 101-25-002) tested at 137μg/100g;
Vegas and Hotspur Islands (Subdistrict 101-25-003) tested at 178μg/100g;
Southern Gravina Island (Subdistrict 101-29-005) tested at 122μg/100g.
