NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING OF THE ALASKA BOARD OF FISHERIES
 

The Alaska Board of Fisheries (board) will conduct a two-day Work Session beginning at 8:30 a.m., October 9-10, 2012, at the Egan Civic and Convention Center as 555 West 5th Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska.  No regulatory action will be taken at this meeting.  Agenda topics include:  election of officers; agenda change requests; petitions; meeting organization and establishment of committees for 2012/2013 cycle; informational reports and/or administrative issues that may come before the board. 

 

After the conclusion of the Work Session, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on October 11, 2012, the board will then be presented with a report on the Western Alaska Salmon Stock Identification Project (WASSIP) by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.  The purpose of this presentation is to provide the board with the most updated information to assist them with board decisions for the 2012/2013 cycle.

 

These meetings are open to the public but no oral public testimony will be taken.  Written comments may be mailed to:  Boards Support Section, P.O. Box 115526, Juneau, AK  99811-5526, or faxed to:  (907) 465-6094.  The audio of the meeting is intended to be streamed live on the website at:
